Homeschool Learning Collective is a teacher-led, small-group learning environment where a licensed educator supports homeschool principles through individualized, in-person learning Monday–Thursday, with Fridays reserved for half-day field trips and service-based experiences.

Meet Mrs. Tanner
Founder of A Measure of Joy & Family Educator
Emily is an educator, guide, and advocate for whole-child and whole-family development, deeply rooted in the philosophies of Waldorf and Reggio Emilia education. With 25+ years of experience supporting families and communities, she was invited to steward this educational collective to empower parents with the tools, insight, and confidence to create joyful, connected, and intentional homes.
Her work bridges timeless wisdom with modern parenting needs—offering guidance that honors the child’s natural development, the parent, and the importance of community and service. Through workshops, collaborative learning spaces, and creative resources, she helps families build nurturing environments where both children and parents can thrive.
At the heart of my mission is a belief in the power of joy, rhythm, creativity, and relationship to transform family life and contribute to a more confident, compassionate world.
